Vacancy Breakup
The recruitment is divided into two primary wings:
- Constable (Technical/Tradesmen): 9,175 Posts (includes Driver, Mechanic, Cook, Safai Karamchari, etc.)

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- General Trades: Must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board.
- CT/Driver: 10th pass + possession of a Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving License.
- CT/Mechanic Motor Vehicle: 10th pass + 2-year ITI certificate in relevant trade.
2. Age Limit (As of January 1, 2026)
- For Driver Post: 21 to 27 years.
- For Other Trades: 18 to 23 years.
- Note: Standard age relaxations apply (5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC).
3. Physical Standards (PST)
Candidates must meet the following minimum physical requirements:
- Height (Male): 170 cm
- Height (Female): 157 cm
- Chest (Male): 80 cm (unexpanded) with a minimum 5 cm expansion.
Selection Process
To wear the CRPF uniform, candidates must successfully clear a multi-stage evaluation:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): An objective exam covering Reasoning, General Knowledge, Mathematics, and Hindi/English.
- Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Measurement of height/chest and a timed running event.
- Trade Test: A practical test to evaluate your proficiency in the specific trade you applied for (e.g., cooking, driving, or masonry).
- Document Verification & Medical Examination: Final checks to ensure eligibility and medical fitness.
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-3 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) scale.
- Pay Scale: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100.
- Allowances: In addition to the basic pay, personnel receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and various other risk/hardship benefits based on their posting location.
