Eligibility Criteria
1. PET 2025 Score (Mandatory)
Only candidates who appeared in the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and possess a valid scorecard are eligible. Candidates with zero or negative normalized scores will not be shortlisted for the Mains.
2. Educational Qualification
- Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science (B.Sc. Ag) from a recognized university. Equivalent degrees in Horticulture, Forestry, or B.Tech in Agriculture are also generally accepted.
- Computer Certification: Must possess a ‘CCC’ Certificate in computer operation provided by DOEACC/NIELIT.
3. Age Limit (As of July 1, 2026)

- Maximum Age: 40 Years

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection follows a two-tier structure:
- Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted for the Mains exam based on their PET 2025 normalized scores (typically 15 times the number of vacancies).
- Mains Written Exam: A single objective-type paper consisting of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be solved in 120 minutes.
