Candidates who qualified for the Prelims (results declared on April 30, 2026) must adhere to the following timeline:

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Fill UPPSC APO Mains Form
The application process is conducted through the official UPPSC portal. Ensure your One-Time Registration (OTR) details are updated before proceeding.
- Login: Visit uppsc.up.nic.in and click on the “APO Mains Exam 2025 Application Form” link.
- Authentication: Log in using your OTR Number and the password/OTP sent to your registered mobile.
- Fill Application: Verify your personal details (name, DOB, category) already stored in the system. Enter additional details like specific educational marks, exam center preferences, and address.
- Fee Payment: Pay the Mains examination fee online.
- Gen/OBC/EWS: ₹125
- SC/ST: ₹65
- PwD: ₹25
- Final Submission: Review all details and click on “Final Submit.” Download and print the application form.
Mandatory Hard Copy Submission
Unlike the Preliminary stage, the Mains process requires you to send physical documents to the Commission’s office.
- What to send: The printed copy of your online application form, self-attested copies of all educational certificates (LLB degree, marks sheets), and category certificates (if applicable).

Mains Exam Pattern & New Syllabus
The 2026 Mains exam is descriptive and carries a total of 500 marks. Notably, the syllabus now includes the new criminal codes:

- Paper 2: General English (50 Marks)
- Paper 3: General Knowledge (50 Marks)
- Paper 4: Criminal Law & Procedure (100 Marks) — Includes BNS and BNSS
