The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU), Muzaffarpur, has officially opened the online registration gateway for undergraduate admissions for the academic session 2026–2030. Following the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) and the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), all regular degree programs (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com) are conducted as a 4-year comprehensive course structure.

The application window is fully live on the university’s dedicated UMIS portal. If you have passed your Intermediate (10+2) board exams this year and want to secure a seat in one of BRABU’s constituent or affiliated colleges across Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Sitamarhi, Champaran, and Sheohar districts, you must complete your registration before the deadline.

Course-Wise Eligibility Criteria

BRABU undergraduate admissions are entirely merit-based. Selection is calculated using your Class 12 marks, meaning there is no entrance examination.

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons): Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination from the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) or any equivalent recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate or the specific subject chosen for honors.
  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com Hons): Passed 10+2 in Commerce, Science, or Arts with at least 45% aggregate marks. (Commerce stream students are given priority).
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons): Must have passed the Intermediate of Science (I.Sc.) or 10+2 Science stream with a minimum of 45% marks in their chosen honors subject group (PCM/PCB).

Category-Wise Application Fee

The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid through online modes like Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking during the form submission.

  • General / OBC / EWS Candidates: ₹600
  • SC / ST Candidates: ₹300

Keep clear, scanned copies (JPEG format, preferably under 50KB for photos) of the following documents ready before launching the application portal:

  1. Valid Personal Email ID and Active Mobile Number (for registration OTPs)
  2. Recent Passport-size Photograph
  3. Scanned Copy of Candidate’s Signature
  4. Class 10th (Matriculation) Marksheet (for Date of Birth proof)
  5. Class 12th (Intermediate) Marksheet and Passing Certificate
  6. Aadhaar Card or any authorized Government Photo ID Proof
  7. Caste Certificate / Income Certificate (Mandatory only if claiming reservation benefits or fee relaxations)

Follow these clean steps to process your admission form correctly:

  1. Go to the Official Portal: Visit the BRABU portal at brabu.ac.in or navigate directly to the application dashboard at umis.brabu.ac.in.
  2. Initial Registration: Click on the link designated for “Applications are Invited for UG (2026-2030) New Apply”. Register your user account by entering your full name, mobile number, and email. Verify the sign-up via the verification code sent to your phone.
  3. Complete the Profile: Log in with your newly provided User ID and Password. Enter your biographical profile details, including parentage, address, and exact marks from your educational certificates.
  4. Select College & Course Preferences: Choose your primary major/honors subjects. You can choose multiple preferences across different constituent or affiliated colleges under BRABU to maximize your selection chances.
  5. Upload Scanned Documents: Attach your scanned photo, signature, and intermediate mark sheets.
  6. Process Payment & Submit: Review your entries using the form preview page. Proceed to the online payment portal to finish paying your respective category fee.
  7. Print Confirmation: Download and print your completed application form and fee payment receipt. You will need to bring these documents to your allotted college during the physical verification drive.
