The Department of Posts (India Post) has officially declared the India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026 today, May 14, 2026. Following the release of the first and second lists earlier this year, the third merit list (Supplementary List-III) aims to fill the remaining vacant slots for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) positions.

How to Download India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2026 PDF
Students can check their selection status by downloading the state-wise PDF from the official portal. Follow these steps:
- Visit Official Portal: Go to indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
- Select Candidate Corner: On the left sidebar, look for the section titled “Shortlisted Candidates: Schedule-I January 2026.”
- Choose Your Circle: Select your respective state or postal circle from the dropdown menu.
- Download PDF: Click on the link for “Supplementary List-III.”
- Search Your Result: Open the downloaded PDF and use Ctrl + F to search for your 7-digit registration number. If it appears, you have been provisionally shortlisted.
What’s Next? Document Verification (DV) Schedule
Shortlisted candidates must note that this selection is provisional. Final appointment is subject to successful Document Verification (DV) and a medical examination.
- Deadline for DV: Candidates in the 3rd merit list must report to their allotted Divisional Offices for verification on or before May 26, 2026.
- Reporting: Shortlisted individuals will also receive an SMS and email notification on their registered mobile number/ID regarding the specific date and venue.
Mandatory Documents for Verification:
- Original 10th Class Marksheet & Certificate.
- Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Voter ID).
- Caste/Community Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
- Disability Certificate (if applicable).
- Passport-size Photographs (at least 2-4 copies).
- Medical Certificate issued by a Medical Officer of a Govt Hospital.

As there is no written exam, the merit is purely based on academic performance in secondary school. For the 3rd list, the expected cut-off ranges are:

- OBC: 84% – 92%
- SC/ST: 78% – 86%
