Eligibility Criteria
1. Nationality
Candidates must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from specific countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
2. Age Limit (As of January 1, 2027)
- Minimum: 20 Years
- Maximum: 27 Years
- Born Not Earlier Than: January 2, 2000
- Born Not Later Than: January 1, 2007
- (Both dates inclusive)
3. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or be in the final year of the Engineering Degree course.
- Condition for Final Year Students: Candidates must be able to submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree examination along with marksheets of all semesters/years by January 1, 2027.

Selection Process: The Road to IMA
The selection process for the Technical Graduate Course is rigorous and does not involve a written exam, making it a “Direct Entry” for engineers.
- Shortlisting of Applications: Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications and fix cut-off percentages per stream based on the marks obtained up to the 6th semester for B.Tech students.
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a 5-day SSB Interview at one of the Selection Centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar). This involves Psychology tests, Group Tasks, and a Personal Interview.
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a thorough medical fitness test by a board of Service Medical Officers.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on the marks obtained in the SSB Interview. Those on the merit list who are medically fit will be issued joining letters for IMA, Dehradun.
