Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
To be eligible, candidates must satisfy both Graduate and Postgraduate requirements:
- Postgraduate: Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in at least Second Division in any of the following: Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Forensic Biotechnology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioscience, Life Science, or Forensic Science.
- Graduate Level (Mandatory):
- Part A: Must have studied at least one subject from Botany, Zoology, Bioscience, Life Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Forensic Biology.
- Part B: Must have studied at least one subject from Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Forensic Chemistry.
2. Age Limit (As of January 1, 2027)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC (MP Natives), Women (all categories), and Govt Employees. The maximum age after all relaxations cannot exceed 45 years.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection consists of a Written Examination followed by a Personal Interview.
The Written Exam (OMR Based):
- Mode: Objective Type (MCQs).
- Syllabus: Entirely discipline-specific (Biology).
- Total Questions: 150 questions.
- Total Marks: 450 marks (3 marks per question).
- Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- Duration: 3 Hours.
The Interview:
- Total Marks: 50 Marks.
- Qualifying Marks: 41% for Unreserved and 31% for Reserved/PwD categories.
