Understanding the UP BEd JEE Core Marking Scheme

The state merit framework calculates rankings out of a maximum evaluation base of 400 marks. The entrance environment is structurally distributed across two mandatory test papers:

  • Paper I (200 Marks): Features 50 questions tracking General Knowledge and 50 questions evaluating Selected Language Competency (Hindi or English).
  • Paper II (200 Marks): Features 50 questions mapping General Aptitude Tests and 50 questions tracking Subject Specific Ability (Arts, Science, Commerce, or Agriculture).

Important Evaluation Note: Both examination papers are objective multiple-choice questionnaires. There is no negative marking scheme applied for wrong answers during this evaluation cycle, allowing full calculations based purely on correct choices.
